Trump Melts Down at CNN, NBC as Report Emerges That He Had Plan to Buy Up Dirt ‘National Enquirer’ Had Collected on Him Since the ’80s

Donald Trump lashed out at CNN, NBC and the “fake news media” as a new report emerged that he and former lawyer Michael Cohen had a plan to buy up all the damaging material the National Enquirer had collected on him since the ’80s.

Tweeted Trump: “The hatred and extreme bias of me by has clouded their thinking and made them unable to function. But actually, as I have always said, this has been going on for a long time. Little Jeff Z has done a terrible job, his ratings suck, & AT&T should fire him to save credibility! … What’s going on at is happening, to different degrees, at other networks – with being the worst. The good news is that Andy Lack(y) is about to be fired(?) for incompetence, and much worse. When Lester Holt got caught fudging my tape on Russia, they were hurt badly!”

But it didn’t end there: “I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest much of the Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to them, they only have their hatred & agenda. This includes fake books, which come out about me all the time, always anonymous sources, and are pure fiction. Enemy of the People!”

He went on to rage about the media coverage of Don McGahn’s departure: “Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner had NOTHING to do with the so called “pushing out” of Don McGahn. The Fake News Media has it, purposely,so wrong! They love to portray chaos in the White House when they know that chaos doesn’t exist-just a “smooth running machine” with changing parts! … The Rigged Russia Witch Hunt did not come into play, even a little bit, with respect to my decision on Don McGahn! … I am very excited about the person who will be taking the place of Don McGahn as White House Counsel! I liked Don, but he was NOT responsible for me not firing Bob Mueller or Jeff Sessions. So much Fake Reporting and Fake News!”

Meanwhile, the New York Times reported on Thursday that Trump and his former lawyer Michael Cohen had a plan to buy all the dirt that the National Enquirer had collected on Trump since the 1980s.

The NYT reports: “The existence of the plan, which was never finalized, has not been reported before. But it was strongly hinted at in a recording that Mr. Cohen’s lawyer released last month of a conversation about payoffs that Mr. Cohen had with Mr. Trump…The move by Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen indicated just how concerned they were about all the information amassed by the company, American Media, and its chairman, David Pecker, a loyal Trump ally of two decades who has cooperated with investigators.”

Trump

Allen Weisselberg, the longtime Trump Organization CFO who is the most senior person in the organization aside from Trump, has been granted immunity by federal prosecutors in the campaign finance violation case against former Trump personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

The WSJ reports: “The decision by prosecutors in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office to grant immunity to Mr. Weisselberg escalates the pressure on Mr. Trump, whom Mr. Weisselberg has served for decades as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Trump Organization. After Mr. Trump was elected, he handed control of his financial assets and business interests to his two adult sons and Mr. Weisselberg.”

Trump Unloads on Cohen, Sessions, Manafort, Impeachment in ‘FOX & Friends’ Bilefest Before Giving Himself an ‘A+’ Grade: WATCH

Trump Fox Friends

Donald Trump sat down with his favorite State TV program FOX & Friends for an early morning interview following the felony convictions of his personal lawyer Michael Cohen and his former campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Trump slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions while claiming that the DOJ is easy on Democrats.

“The Dems are very strong in the Justice Department…And I put in an attorney general that never took control of the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions. Never took control of the Justice Department. It’s sort of an incredible thing.”

Trump went on to further blast Sessions in a rant about the “corrupt” Department of Justice: “There’s such corruption. Before I got here, it’s from before I got here. It’s from the Obama administration. When everybody sees what’s going on in the Justice Department, I always put ‘justice’ now with quotes, it’s a very, very sad day….The only reason I gave [Jeff Sessions] the job is because I felt loyalty,” Trump said in the Fox News interview. “He was an original supporter.”

Asked if he would pardon former campaign manager Paul Manafort, Trump claimed he hardly knew Manafort, and pointed at Hillary: “I have great respect for what he’s done in terms of what he’s gone through. I would say what he did … every consultant, every lobbyist in Washington probably does. Look at the crimes that Clinton did, with the emails, and she deletes 33,000 emails after she gets a subpoena from Congress and this Justice Department does nothing about it. And all of the other crimes that they’ve done…I didn’t know Manafort well, he wasn’t with the campaign long. They got him on things totally unrelated to the campaign. And by the way they got [Michael] Cohen on things totally unrelated to the campaign. I’m not involved. I wasn’t charged with anything…But when you look at the corruption on the other side.”

Asked about his claims that the campaign finance violations for which his former lawyer Michael Cohen was convicted, Trump attacked Cohen for flipping and said it should be illegal.

Said Trump: “If somebody defrauded a bank and he’s gonna get 10 years in jail, or 20 years in jail, but you can say something bad about Donald Trump and you’ll go down to two years or three years, which is the deal he made, in all fairness to him most people are going to do that. It’s called flipping, and it almost ought to be illegal…I’ve seen it many times…They make up things and now they go from 10 years to they’re a national hero.”

Asked if he was considered about Democrats moving to impeach him should they win the midterms, Trump replied: “I don’t know how you can impeach somebody who’s done a great job.”

He also said the “market would crash” if he got impeached and “everybody would be very poor.”

Trump gave himself an “A+” when asked to grade himself on the job he’s done so far in office: “I don’t think any president has ever done what I’ve done in this short — we haven’t even been two years.”
